Everything you need to check a mouse and the hand behind it — from raw click speed to worn-out switches.

Mouse checks

What these mouse tests check

A mouse can fail in quiet ways: a switch that sometimes clicks twice, a wheel that jumps back while you scroll, or a side button that stopped working after a software update. Our mouse test shows each button and the wheel on a drawing of a mouse, lights every part up as soon as it registers, and flags presses that arrive too fast to come from a finger.

The CPS test measures the other side — your own speed. Pick a length from one second to a hundred, click as fast as you can and see your clicks per second, your best single second and how steady your rhythm was. Your personal best for every length is saved in your browser, so you can track your progress over time.

Every test uses the browser’s high-resolution clock and raw input events, the same signals games use, so the numbers are accurate to a fraction of a millisecond.

Frequently asked questions

Which mouse test should I start with?

If something feels wrong with your mouse, start with the mouse test: it checks every button, the wheel and the side buttons in one go. If you just want to know how fast you click, go straight to the CPS test.

Can these tests damage my mouse?

No. They only listen to the clicks and scrolls your mouse already sends. Fast clicking puts no more strain on a mouse than a normal gaming session.

Do I need to install anything?

No. All tests run in your web browser on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. Nothing is downloaded and no account is needed.
